The V8 engine unit is combined with a new MCT 7-speed sports transmission that's apparently quicker than the standard 7-speed G-Tronic. Additionally, the 2009 SL 63 AMG also gets a new sports suspension and a new speed sensitive steering wheel system. Finally, there's also a new 3-stage ESP system (ON/SPORT/OFF).
