2009 Jeep Patriot & Compass with New Interior Revealed Through Dealer Ads

Although Chrysler has yet to make an official announcement, the 2009 model year Jeep Patriot and Compass have already made their way to the company’s dealerships. As you can see in the dealer photographs after the jump, the major difference between the 2008 and 2009 Patriot and Compass concerns the revamped interior that features a newly-styled dashboard with softer plastics, new door panels and seat fabrics.

These changes were made by Jeep to address the negative impressions from consumers and the media alike in regards of the poor quality and cheap materials of the Compass and Patriot. Expect the Dodge Caliber to receive a similar treatment towards the end of 2008. -Image gallery after the jump

2009 Jeep Compass & Patriot: Leaked Images of Revised Interior

Few will disagree with us when we say that the majority of Chrysler LLC's vehicles are a huge disappointment in terms of interior design and quality and choice of materials inside the cabin. Heck, even Chrysler admitted it by announcing earlier this year that it will revise the interiors of several of its cars. And indeed it will as these leaked images of the 2009 Jeep Patriot & Compass from the 2009 Mopar Accessory brochure prove.

While there's no way of knowing whether Chrysler replaced the fridge-like plastics in the compact crossovers' interiors, the pictures do show that the American carmaker has completely redesigned the upper part of the dashboard. As for the crop-like circles in the beige interior, we're not sure whether they're part of the decor or if they're supposed to show the Patriot/Compass heated seats. In any case, we'll have to wait to see the interiors up close for our final verdict. -More pics after the jump

Jeep UK Launches New Accessories for Patriot

Jeep is attempting to lure UK buyers who love personalizing their car by launching of a wide range of accessories for the Patriot crossover including a Startech chrome grille, a bodykit, sports suspension and 20-inch alloys. The jeep maker has packaged a number of exterior design features from Startech under the ‘SE Exterior’ Pack, which includes a front and rear under-ride bodykit; chrome grille inserts; exhaust tailpipe cover and Startech logo for the rear of the vehicle for £999. -Continued

Additionally, Jeep also offers the ‘SE Lifestyle’ interior pack at £1199 that adorns the Patriot’s cabin with a leather effect centre armrest cover; four chrome loudspeaker rings; a chrome gearshift gate; leather gear knob and leather effect treatments for the top of the door panels and dashboard instrument panel.

Other available items include illuminated entrance panels; aluminium pedal pads; three-piece aluminium design kit for the dashboard and aluminium door locking pins. Two sizes of alloy wheels are also available: 19-inch Monostar IV five-spoke alloys or 20-inch Monostar IV five-spoke alloys. Both options come fitted with Yokohama tyres and a locking wheel nut kit.

Finally, Jeep also offers the Startech PowerXtra Performance Module (£999) that increases the power output of the 2.0-litre diesel engine by 40bhp to 178Hp.
