Video: How to Destroy a Car Wash Machine

We’ve watched this video a dozen times but we still can’t figure out why the driver in the light blue Citroen C3 stamped on the gas pedal crashing and ultimately, destroying the automatic car wash machine. Maybe the C3 was equipped with Citroen’s quirky Sensodrive semi-automatic transmission and the driver wasn’t accustomed with the clutchless gearbox. Who knows. What we do know is that the man with the hat in front of the car was one lucky son of a gun. -Video after the jump

Citroen C3 Picasso MPV: Image Gallery Update

Citroen has revealed further pictures of its subcompact minivan ahead of the C3 Picasso’s public debut in October at the Paris Motor Show. The funky 5-seater MPV that is based on the Peugeot 207 platform and mechanics, measures 4.08m long, 1.73m wide and 1.62m tall. As you’d expect from a Citroen MPV, the C3 Picasso’s interior is designed to maximize space and versatility.

Among other things, the C3 Picasso is equipped with split-folding rear seats that slide independently. When the driver needs extra storage space, the rear seats can be folded away while a mobile boot floor provides a level loading space up to the first row seat back. Moreover, the front passenger seat can also be folded completely flat to increase the load length and to create a table top. -Continued

The C3 Picasso will arrive in the European market during the first quarter of 2009 with a choice of two new-generation petrol units available – the 1.4-liter 95hp and 1.6-liter 120hp – as well as two diesels, the 1.6 HDi 90hp and 1.6 HDi 110hp.

2009 Citroen C3 Picasso Mini MPV

These are the first pictures of Citroen’s new subcompact people carrier that will be officially unveiled at the Paris Auto Show in October. The all-new C3 Picasso will give the French carmaker a rival to the Opel Meriva, Renault Modus and the Nissan Note when it goes on sale across Europe towards the end of 2008 / early 2009. (depending on the market).

Citroen’s funky looking mini MPV is the third model in the French carmaker’s range to use the Picasso name. Based on the Peugeot 207 underpinnings, the C3 Picasso gives us a few hints about the next generation C3 hatchback model that’s due to be introduced sometime in 2009. Like the C4 Picasso and Grand Picasso, the minivan version of the C3 is expected to offer plenty of space and versatility for its size (a little over 4 meters in length). -Continued

At launch, the C3 Picasso will be available with four engine options, a 1.6 HDi turbo diesel with 90 and 110Hp, and two gasoline units, a 1.4-liter with 95Hp and a 1.6-liter with 120Hp.

For the 2009 MY, Citroen’s funky C3 Pluriel gains minor exterior and interior styling upgrades. On the outside, the C3 Pluriel features larger chevrons in the centre of the radiator grille, new headlamps with a "smoky" look and a darker shade of orange for the indicators along with a new dark grey painted bumper grille. Echoing the front end, the chevrons are also bigger at the rear end of the vehicle while at the same time, the color of the rear light trim changes from aluminum grey to black. –Continued after the jump
