Video: 2009 Nissan 370Z Scooped in Arizona

The forthcoming Nissan 370Z was caught on tape by a 350Z driver on highway 60 in Arizona. Unfortunately, the test mule was heavily camouflaged so there's not much we can say about the Z's appearance. The 370Z will be powered by a a revised version of the Infiniti G37's 3.7-liter V6 engine developing somewhere between 330 and 350Hp. According to our sources, the 370Z is expected to make its debut at the 2008 L.A. Auto Show in late November. -Check out the two videos after the jump

Video: RWD Nissan S-Cargo with 4.1-liter V8 Engine!

The S-Cargo was a funky-looking mini van based on the 90’s Micra platform and equipped with a puny 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that was built in limited numbers by Nissan from 1989 to 1992. While this custom model that’s for sale in New Zealand might look as innocent as the standard car on the outside, get ready for a surprise once you open the hood; this S-Cargo has been fitted with a Nissan derived VH41DE 4.1-liter V8 engine (same as the one found in earlier Infiniti Q45s) that in stock form, produced 267Hp. Moreover, the S-Cargo has been converted to RWD. -Continued

If you’re wondering what if feels like driving such a compact, tall and lightweight vehicle equipped with a V8 engine, the seller’s description says it all: “Runs and drives mint but you need big balls if you want to give it the berries as its very fast!”

Video: Nissan GT-R Lapping Nurburgring in 7:29’

Finally, we have live footage of the Nissan GT-R lapping the Nurburgring race track in Germany in 7:29.03. According to Nissan, the GT-R’s time was recorded on April 17, 2008 with the Japanese supercar’s chief test driver Tochio Suzuki behind the wheel of a base specification vehicle fitted with standard Japanese market tires. -See the video after the jump

Video: Insane Nissan 200SX with Turbocharged BMW M5 Engine

While not underpowered, the 1990's Nissan 200SX S13 with its 205Hp turbocharged 2.0-liter engine could have done with a few more extra horses under its hood. But these Swedish guys took the phrase 'a few more ponies' to the extreme by swapping the 200SX's 4-cylinder unit with a 315Hp 3.6-liter straight-six from a 1990's BMW M5 E34.

And if that wasn't enough, they also added a Garret GT45 turbocharger on the bimmer engine. We don't have any output figures but that Bavarian-powered 200SX S13 sure sounds sweet! Images and video right after the jump. -Continued

Video: 2009 Nissan GT-R Driven In Snow

We’ve seen several videos of the 2009 GT-R but up until now, this is the first one showing Nissan’s 480 HP strong supercar being driven on a snow track. As you’d expect, the specific GT-R is fitted with a set of snow tires (studless). Follow the jump to check out the 2-minute long video clip. -Continued

2009 Nissan GT-R Video: Full Test Reveals That It’s Faster Than Nissan Says!

When there’s a will (and plenty of cash…) there’s a way. Nissan might have not given the all-new GT-R for a full test drive, but the guys at Edmund’s Inside Line travelled all the way to Japan to test a privately owned Nissan GT-R on an airstrip outside Tokyo. The car, owned by Japanese journalist Jun Nishikawa was a Japanese-spec example with 1,500 km or 932 miles on its odo.

But enough with the chitty chat; here are the numbers that Edmunds testers came up with: the 2009 Nissan GT-R hits 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.3 seconds and the quarter mile in just 11,6 seconds at more than 120 mph or 196 km/h. Nissan officially claims that the 2009 GT-R needs 3.5 seconds for the 0-60 mph sprint… -Check out the video right after the jump

2008 Nissan GT-R: See It Being Built

Here’s a video showing scenes from the 2008 GT-R assembly at Nissan's Tochigi factory in Japan, which also builds Infiniti models. Nissan designed an entirely new production system for the GT-R that benefits from production procedures that include higher precision tolerance control for all body parts and the use of specially designed precision machine tools. Interestingly, much of the Nissan GT-R's assembly is done by hand. -Continued after the jump

Once the car is built, each GT-R is conducted a break-in drive before shipping in addition to its regular inspections, so the very earliest use of the brakes, transmission and suspension will be smooth for the customer.

Video: Car Magazine Co-Drives The 2008 Nissan GT-R

Car magazine’s Ben Barry must have felt like a ravenous child in candy store when Nissan’s marketing boss Shingo Suzuki (now that’s funny) unexpectedly suggested that he jump into the GT-R’s passengers seat for a quick spin. See, while Car and a bunch of other major auto magazines were invited by Nissan to photograph the 2008 GT-R in Hokkaido, it was on a strictly “look and drool but don’t even think about driving” basis. Now that sucks. (Links: GT-R Promo Video click here, images & specs click here)

Nissan GT-R Promo Video

Featuring a new 3.8-litre twin turbo V6 “VR38” engine, producing 473 Hp (353kW) at 6400rpm, the all-new GT-R is definitely one of the most anticipated sports cars of the year. Available in Japan from December 6 and the rest of the world in 2008, the Nissan GT-R promises to offer more adrenaline than a Porsche 911 Turbo at half the price. Something tells us that Nissan intends to keep its promise. For official specs and high-res images, click here.

(and socks and pants…) off to our reader Terry Hartley aka, “The Deuce”, who just tipped us off about this video that features Renault-Nissan CEO, Carlos Ghosn presenting the all-new Nissan GT-R on a Japanese TV Show. Furthermore, Ghosn took the host of the show for a ride on Nissan's test track –or at least that’s what it looks like. 2008 Nissan GT-R Spy Video

Yep, here’s another spy video of the forthcoming Nissan GT-R. Only difference here is that, judging by the quality of the video, it wouldn’t be far fetched if we agreed with our fellow bloggers at WFC who claim there’s a possibility that the video was produced by Nissan folks themselves. Not that it matters since we’re not far away from the presentation date which is set for October at the Tokyo Motor Show.

Nissan Qashqai "Urban Skateboarding" TV-Ad

While not as radical as the Qashqai online skateboard commercials, but definitely more politically correct, Nissan takes upon urban-skateboarding once again to show off its compact crossover. By the way, is it me or is Nissan’s new TV Add suspiciously reminiscent of Jeep’s Compass Urban Playground ad? Yay for creativity

2008 Nissan Skyline GT-R Video

I’m not sure if you’ve seen this video, but if you haven’t here’s your chance! Apart from the fact that the Skyline GT-R is relatively thinly disguised, leaving all the juicy details open, the video contains excellent footage from test runs in Nurburgring, Germany where we have the chance to hear some GT-R “turbo-music”. Although it’s unclear whether will unveil the next generation Skyline GT-R in Detroit, according to a previous press release, sales will start in Japan in fall 2007, followed by the U.S. and Canada in spring 2008. I guess Europe will follow sometime in 2008 too. Via: Worldcarfans
