Mercedes-Benz S350 Driver Gets Too Ambitious

Agreed; the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is made like a tank, but one should not take that literally… This fella apparently felt like the king of the road before loosing control of his Mercedes-Benz S350 somewhere in the beautiful city of Prague (capitol of the Czech Republic). As you can see in the pictures, he came to a full stop right on top of the cement road blocks. -More images after the jump

SEMA Show: Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet

This chopped Mercedes-Benz S-Class was hosted on Absolute’s stand. Absolute, an audio-system tuner, used the custom made S-Class Cabrio to show off its line of mobile audio and video products but we couldn’t withhold ourselves from sharing. Weird looking to say the least.

Frankfurt Show: Mercedes-Benz S 300 BLUETEC HYBRID

Yep, it’s another production hybrid model from Mercedes-Benz. Only this time the S 300 BLUETEC HYBRID combines a BLUETEC diesel engine with hybrid technology instead of a petrol-hybrid system like the ML 450 HYBRID that we showed you yesterday. We’re not sure if this is a typo-mistake or not, but Mercedes announces in its teaser release that the S 300 BLUETEC HYBRID is powered by a 4-cylinder diesel engine. There’s no way of checking it out now, so we’ll leave it as is. -Continued after the jump

Anyway, the diesel- hybrid module develops a combined system output of 165 kW / 224 hp and a maximum torque of 560 Nm. Its avg. fuel consumption is just 5.4 litres of diesel per 100 km (43.6 mpg) - equivalent to just 142 grams of CO2 per kilometre ‑ 57 grams or around 30 percent less than the current consumption and emissions benchmark in the S‑Class segment. Mercedes supports that the S 300 BLUETEC HYBRID has the potential to meet most stringent emissions standards such as EU6 or the BIN5 standard for 50 US states.

Mercedes S-Class Tuning: ASMA Design Eagle II Sport Edition

What; an ASMA without a Darth Vader grille? Oh come on, that’s so, so disappointing. I guess ASMA’s latest Mercedes S-Class bodykit is addressed towards a more subtlety-bad-tasted crowd. But there’s no need to worry as all who which to make a fashion/taste statement through their ride ASMA is still offering the “Eagle I” S-Class pacage. -Press Release & High-res pics after the jump

Press Release: ASMA Design Eagle II Sport Edition

The new Project becomes through our amazing performance kit a never seen experience on the roads of Germany. This amazing model is crowned with the name “Eagle II“. The powerful wings of an eagle which are symbolized by the typical ASMA Design Air Intakes in the front fenders of the car, the perfect body kit with the typical ASMA Design elements and the bi-colour painting are creating this dominating presence.

Promises are promises and we keep our promises because we put another accent on the rear which makes you scared like the dominating front and the exhaust system.

Its body control is just stunning, its combination of comfort and structural integrity masterful. The ASMA Design wheels on the front axle in 9,5 x 21 inch and on the back axle in 11 x 21 are completing the excellent design of the car. The wheels are on the front axle vast 255/30/21 and on the back axle 295/25/21.
