Mitsubishi Lancer Prototype-S 240Hp Hatchback Video

Blending elements from the Concept-Sportback (the overall concept), Lancer Evolution X (the execution) and US-spec Lancer Ralliart (240 Hp 2.0L turbo engine, Twin Clutch gearbox & full-time 4WD drivetrain), the Prototype-S is a pre-production version of the forthcoming Lancer Sportback Ralliart that will be launched later in the year. We’ve already seen the official pictures of the prototype (click here), but this is the first time that we get the chance to see Mitsubishi’s sporty hatchback in motion. You can see the video right after the jump. -Continued

Video: 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X First Drive

At last, here’s some video footage of the all-new Lancer Evolution X courtesy of Edmunds Insideline and their colleagues from Motor Trend who were invited by Mitsubishi to get a first taste of the high-performance sedan. Both journalists tend to agree that while the new EVO is a better car overall, it
looks like the X has lost part of its hard-core, rally-style persona in Mitsubishi’s quest to broaden its audience. -Continued after the jump

Personally, I’ve had the chance to drive the last three-generations of the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO (7, 8 & 9) and it was love at first…drive. Yes, they were a pain in the ass for everyday use and the Spartan interior was as inspired as a bic pen, but boy were they addictive! Driving an EVO on a twisty B-mountain road was like entering a time warp; you simply put everything aside to become one with the car. So what if only a few skilled drivers could come close to taking fully advantage of the previous generation’s tremendous capabilities; isn’t that what EVOs are (were?) all about?

2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart / MR Spied

Edmund's spy videographers have managed to capture a prototype of the forthcoming Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart (or MR in Europe) being tested somewhere in the Western part of the USA. Mitsubishi has already announced that it’ll introduce an “Upper-range version” of the Lancer at a later stage in its Frankfurt Show press release -click here for details. The Lancer Ralliart will fit between the current 2.0-litre version and the highly anticipated EVO X, aiming at the Subaru Impreza WRX, VW Golf GTI etc.

Our initial information talks about the Ralliart / MR getting a detuned version of the EVO’s turbocharged 2.0-litre engine, producing around 240 Hp. It remains unknown though whether the Ralliart /MR will retain a front-wheel drive layout or if it'll be equipped with a more simplified version of the EVO’s (expensive) AWD system.

Video: Man takes his Mitsubishi Outlander for a catastrophic joyride in Mall!

I don’t know what the heck going around this man’s head when he decided to take a stroll with his Mitsubishi Outlander SUV in the Augusta Mall but he sure gave another meaning to the term... party crasher! Listen to what Lt. Tony Walden of the Richmond County Sheriff's Office had to say about the incident: "He drove through locked glass doors. Continued through the mall and made a left turn and proceeded toward where the new food court is. When he gets to the new food court, the vehicle turns right. The vehicle then drives through those glass doors and exits the mall".
-Continued: Click “Read More…” below

Finito la musica? No cause once the man drove out the Mall, he resisted arrest from the Richmond County deputies. As you can see from the surveillance video he was quite pissed at the officers and at some point he actually attacked them! In the end though, thanks to a pint of pepper spray, the deputies managed to restrain the distraught driver and arrest him.

Video: 2007 Dakar Rally Winner Mitsubishi Pajero EVO

Formerly known as the Paris-Dakar Rally, the Dakar Rally is considered to be the toughest, the most dangerous but also the most famous off-road rally course in the world. However, that doesn’t seem to be a problem for Mitsubishi, which managed its seventh consecutive victory last Sunday with the Pajero EVO which was driven by
the French crew of Stephane Peterhansel and Jean-Paul Cottret.

Note that from the 185 cars, 247 bikes and quads and 85 trucks that entered the race, only 109 cars, 132 bikes and quads and 60 trucks managed to make it to the finish line in Dakar after a shortened route of 7,915km, of which 4,309km were competitive.
