Peugeot 207 CC «ELLE Magazine» Edition

As if the tres-chic 207 CC wasn’t conspicuously feminine enough, Peugeot UK went ahead and introduced a limited edition version, the styling of which was created by readers of ELLE magazine as part of a competition to design their own car. ELLE provided readers with a choice of exterior colours and interior designs, and the winning designs were then put into production by Peugeot. -Continued

The result was four 207 CC ELLE models, each with a different bespoke leather interior and available in four interior/exterior colour combinations to suit every style:

  • ‘Glamour Mode’ – Thorium Grey metallic with black leather and Mulberry trim
  • ‘Classic Couture’ – Lacerta Yellow with black leather interior with a graphite trim
  • ‘Rock Chic’ – Diamond black with black leather interior with a pale pink trim
  • ‘Urban Chic’ – Silver and black leather interior with a bright blue trim

Inside, the 207 CC ELLE features unique quilted centre panels on the seats, door and side trims, ELLE logos embossed into the front seats, a carbon leather trimmed instrument cowling with contrasting stitching, leather gear lever gaiter with contrasting stitching and ELLE embroidered floor mats.

Additionally, owners of the 207 CC ELLE will also receive special ELLE branded leather accessories (hopefully not like the ones they give for free in their magazine...) to match the cars’ interior: key ring, credit card holder, coin purse and a leather service / handbook wallet. Power comes from a 120Hp 1.6-liter petrol engine with prices starting from £18,495 (on-the-road).

Peugeot 207 Le Mans Series with 1.6 Turbo Diesel & Petrol Engines

Paying homage to its successful diesel-powered 908 HDi FAP Le Mans race car, Peugeot has introduced a special edition version of its subcompact hatch, the 207 Le Mans Series. Production of the special edition 207 that will be available with two engine choices, a 175Hp 1.6 Turbo petrol and an 110Hp 1.6 Turbo Diesel, will be limited to 2,000 units across Europe.

Customers can choose between two colours for the 207 Le Mans Series, Banquise White and Obsidien Black. Form the outside, the most prominent features of the 207 Le Mans Series are the decorative longitudinal red stripes and the red lion-head figure on the doors. Moreover, the limited edition 207 also gets 17-inch alloy wheels, a chrome-shadow optics pack for the lights and a “Le Mans Series” badge on the tail-gate. Inside and apart from the sport trim, Peugeot has added an aluminium numbered plaque on the steering wheel.

Peugeot 207 Cielo with Panoramic Roof

Just in time for summer, Peugeot is enhancing its 207 line-up in the UK with the addition the Cielo Special edition. Based on the 207 Sport, the 207 Cielo benefits from standard fitment of a panoramic glass roof, metallic paint, Bluetooth hands-free phone kit and cruise control. The 207 Cielo will be available in both three door and five door versions and with a choice of two petrol engines, a 1.4 litre 75Hp unit, or a 1.4 litre VTi 95Hp. Prices in the UK start from £11,995 on-the-road.

Peugeot 207 SW Outdoor Scooped

A forum member of the Pug loving site “feline207” managed to snap the production version of the crossover concept, 207 SW Outdoor without any camouflage at all in Paris. Due to be officially introduced at the September Frankfurt Show along with the 207 SW RC (see here), the 207 SW Outdoor retains several elements from the concept like the slightly raised road-clearance, the 6-spoke alloy wheels and the protective plastic-moldings. As expected, Peugeot traded in the concept’s rear-lights, roof-rails and rear-view mirrors with stock parts from the 207 SW. The FWD 207 SW Outdoor will most probably be offered with the same engine range as the standard 207 SW. -More pictures after the jump

Peugeot 207 SW Scooped… Again

For the second time in a month, Peugeot’s mini station has been captured on film without a trace of camouflage. Pug testers obviously don’t seem to care anymore as this particular 207 SW -or Break if you prefer, was found by a reader of Leblogauto parked in a central spot in Paris! Expect the 207 SW to be equipped with the same range of engines as the 3d/5d versions -1.4 90Hp &1.6 120Hp petrol engines and 1.4HDI 75Hp, 1.6HDi 90Hp & 1.6HDi 110Hp diesel motors. -More images after the jump

Euro NCAP: 5-star rating for 2008 Peugeot 207 CC & MINI Cooper

As anticipated, the 2008 Peugeot 207 CC and MINI Cooper models managed to obtain a five-star rating in adult occupant safety in Euro NCAP’s latest safety results which were released earlier today. That’s a 1-star upgrade for the MINI Cooper over its predecessor which was tested in 2002 (the previous generation 206 CC hadn’t been tested by Euro NCAP). -Continued: Click “Read More…” below

Both cars achieved a poor two-star score in pedestrian protection. Oddly enough, the 207 hatchback has achieved a 3-star rating in the same safety test. Finally, the MINI Cooper obtained a mediocre 3-out-5 rating for child protection while the 207 CC didn’t get tested for child safety due to the fact that car was not large enough to fit the recommended child restraints on the rear seats, with the front seats in the normal position for average sized occupants.

Summary of Results

Superminis - Occupant Protection - Child Protection - Pedestrian

MINI Cooper - 5 stars - 3 stars - 2 stars

Peugeot 207CC - 5 stars -N/A - 2 stars

2008 Peugeot 207 SW production version caught out in the open

Pug lovers at Forum-Peugeot have managed to capture the upcoming 207 SW with its pants down. As anticipated, the 207 SW is nothing more than a 207 SW Outdoor concept without the SUV outfit –although we might see a crossover version going into production in the near future. Like its hatchback siblings, the 207 SW will be equipped with 1.4 90Hp & 1.6 120Hp petrol engines and 1.4HDI 75Hp, 1.6HDi 90Hp & 1.6HDi 110Hp diesel motors. The 207 SW will most probably make its debut at the Frankfurt Show in September. -Continued: Click “Read More…” below to see a high-res image gallery

Geneva Preview: Peugeot 207 RC 1.6 Turbo 175Hp

Making its world premiere at the 2007 Geneva Show, the 207 RC features the same 1.6 Turbo engines as the MINI Cooper S producing 175Hp and 240Nm of torque. Only difference here is that Peugeot’s hot mini hatch –unknown why, is equipped with a 5speed manual gearbox whereas the Cooper S gets a 6speed box. Funny enough, both hatches feature a 0 to 100 km/h (62mph) figure of 7,1 sec. As for top speed, the MINI goes up to 225 km/h (140 mph) while the 207 RC up to 220 km/h (138 mph).

Appearance-wise, we’re kinda disappointed with the RC’s overly subtle exterior looks cause practically, the only element that differentiates it from any other 207 are the metallic mirror coverings. Same goes for the interior as the most significant and visible change are the sport bucket seats. Strange if you think about the models that the 207 RC will be put up against eg. Opel Corsa OPC , Renault Clio Sport etc. -Continued: Click “Read More…” below to read the official press release and a high-res gallery

  • Maximum speed: 220 km/h
  • 1000 m standing start: 27.8 sec
  • 0 – 100 km/h: 7.1 sec
  • In gear acceleration 80 – 120 km/h (5th) 7.0 sec
  • Combined fuel consumption 7.2 litres/100 km
